2025 Zure Winery “Bartul” Grk

The Batistic-Zure family traces its ag and farming roots back 600 years. Founding the winery and agrotourism business in 1996 was a logical evolution. Even more logical was opening Zure Restaurant to showcase their wines. The Bartul Grk honors the winery’s patron, Bartul, and his desire to showcase the family’s cornucopia of products, including wine.

The 2025 Grk opens with lots of citrus aromas. It’s clean, round, and creamy textured, with a hint of honey on the palate. Fresh fruit is balanced with crisp acidity and no sense of bitterness, as is common with the Grk variety from Lumbarda. This is an excellent wine and restaurant worth seeking out during your enotourism adventures in Lumbarda and the Island of Korchula.

Zure makes five styles of Grk, most of which are aged 1-2 years on stainless steel. My impression of all the labels is ripe, crisp, and clean.
