This rose caught my attention from the very first sip. It’s laser-focused on bright red fruit and zippy acidity. Read winemaker Dave Breeden’s response to Question #1 of his interview below regarding his estate vineyard.
I’d say he achieved maximum fruit concentration and flavors with this wine. This is an excellent Cabernet Franc rosé, full-bodied and with a long, satisfying finish. I normally don’t mention SRP, but at only $20 per bottle, I felt compelled to point out the QPR.
It’s my opinion that rosé wines should have a role at the table year-round, not just as summer sippers. You can confidently pair this one with charcuterie and cheese plates, grilled shrimp (not cocktail sauced), and crab cakes.
