This Horse Heaven Hills Sauvignon Blanc is all about freshness. The wine presents as pale yellow in the glass, with notes of citrus, grapefruit, and a light salinity on the palate. This is a light-bodied high-acid wine ideal for food pairing, especially given its low alcohol at 12.5%. We prepared a Greek mezze plate, eggplant rollatini with sharp provolone, assorted olives, pickled onion, and hummus smear. Great pairings all with this Savvie.
This is a dry, perky acid acid-driven wine that should be a crowd pleaser at any party or patio gathering. It was aged sur lie in concrete and neutral oak, which accounts for the creaminess and mid-palate texture.
