Light blush in the glass, with floral and pineapple on the nose, this Sauvignon Blanc reminds me of spring and the tropics. There’s a lovely balance of fruit and acidity that makes for easy sipping and a mouth-watering beverage. This is a very good wine and an easy one to share on warm spring and summer nights. I’d recommend this Sauvie with light salads and Asian foods any day. And did I mention the entire lineup of Liquid light wines all sport low alcohol, and only 95 calories?
According to winemaker guy Barnes, fruit is harvested early to manage sugar levels and ultimately the target goal of only 95 calories. This is a fascinating approach to winemaking for this specific product line, and the timing couldn’t be better, as healthy consumer choices in food and beverages continue to proliferate.
This is a big project for winemaker Guy Barnes, and one that will continue to attract attention.
