Aromas of juicy tropical fruits are prominent with vibrant acids that balance out the freshness. This wine has a round, creamy mouthfeel and lots of fresh fruit, mostly pineapple. It’s an interesting blend with grapes sourced from 10 different vineyards in the Naramata Bench and Okanagan Valley regions. Wine styling is in the Alsace tradition of blending different grapes including Gewurztraminer, Riesling, Pinot Auxerrois, Pinot Blanc, and Muscat.
I tasted this wine when I visited in June. I loved it then with an Alsatian hot dog (you heard that right) from the Joie Farm hot dog bar. Saucy meat tubes and fixings played nicely with this off-dry and savory white wine blend. I imagine that “A Noble Blend” will also pair nicely with tonight’s grilled chicken quesadilla and citrus vinaigrette salad.
This is a very good wine, a real crowd pleaser, and that’s what the Joie Farm brand is all about. I’d bring this to a summer party, and I suggest you do too.
