This 100% Grenache Rose’ reminds me of roses In the summer, and sipping blush wines in the south of France. Too romantic? Au contraire. This Rose Petal colored blush wine from JAINE hits on all levels.
The label is simple and clean; The single vineyard is farmed sustainably; there’s a long, soft finish; alcohol is restrained at only 13%; and all this at a value price point of $27. This is an excellent value and thoughtfully made wine by Ali Mayfield, and it demonstrates her attention to detail – pressing time, time on the lees, tank time – drink this now with friends who will appreciate her craft, or hold for one to 2 years.
We, of course, decided to drink up and pair with a delightful Sunday brunch of chicken quesadillas, arugula salad, and fruit. The juicy freshness of the wine contrasted well with the savory nature of the meal. Click here to read Ali’s WineCharacter interview.
