Barrel Oak Winery is a classy brand. They provided good promotional and tech information in the wine shipper and have a well-designed, informative website with resources you’ll need. Additionally, their flagship wine is an exceptional Cabernet Franc, one of my favorite varieties.
We loved the scarlet color, not quite transparent, signaling its light to medium body. Beautiful aromas of smoke, herbs, and bramble on the nose lead to red and black fruits, with spice and pepper on the palate. This wine is built for food – smooth and lip-smacking, with well-integrated tannins and a long, persistent finish. Thomas Jefferson would have been proud.
