There was palpable excitement from the media attendees of the Fall 2024 BC Wines press trip. No one had tried Petite Arvine, an ancestral Swiss variety propagated by the founders of Arrowleaf. Aromas of lemon-lime and white flowers at first nose, meet citrus fruit and bright acidity on the palate. What a delight.
This is an excellent medium-bodied wine, with medium-plus acidity and length. I can’t imagine many salads, seafoods, or white meats that this wine wouldn’t complement. Our choice was a lemon miso zucchini bucatini with grilled shrimp and mustard vinaigrette salad. Try that, Lake Country.
I recommend renting an Airbnb in Lake Country, British Columbia, and preparing this or a similar light-bodied pasta after you secure an ample amount of this special wine.
