2022 Tenor “Solaksen” Chardonnay

Wow, cue the roast pork or leg of lamb. This wine can handle it. This is a 100% Chardonnay from the Solaksen vineyard in the Royal Slope AVA of the Columbia Valley. It’s golden in color, full-bodied, round and creamy in texture, and makes its statement with a long persistent finish. Hal and the winemaking team doubled down on oak treatment, using 100 percent new French oak for twenty months, which presents on the nose and palate. This is a very good, well-structured wine built to last. Drink now or hold 2-3 years.

This is not a patio sipping wine, but rather meant to pair with protein or creamy pasta sauces. And at $95 SRP and almost 15% alcohol, you can consider this wine an indulgence.
