2022 Stoller “Dundee Hills” Estate Pinot Noir

Juicy red fruits, cranberry and red cherry, with prominent herbal notes pop. This wine is impressively smooth and approachable at only 2.5 years of age. Kudos to winemaker Karl, given the relatively large case production of this flagship offering. This is a lovely Pinot Noir, medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins that are nicely integrated.

I’m also enjoying the light oak touch with only 16% new French oak. This, combined with a reasonable 13.5% alcohol, makes this a very approachable Oregon Pinot, worth drinking now and certainly worth stocking and enjoying over the next 3-7 years.

We enjoyed the estate Pinot Noir with “Braised Turkey Thighs with Sundried Tomatoes and Olives (over a pilaf of brown rice and farro), straight out of “The Joy of Cooking“.
