This is a vineyard-designate 100% pinot noir sparkling wine from the fun folks at Lightning Rock Vineyard on the Summerland Bench, Okanogan Valley, British Columbia. These bubbles are 100% dry, no RS. I’m guessing zero dosage. You’d be hard-pressed to find a superior traditional method sparkling wine at $38 Canadian, or $28.00 US.
This is an excellent sparkling wine. It’s showing stone fruits, floral notes, and minerality typical of the Okanagan Valley. Oh, and the mousse – fragrant, creamy, brioche – you know, all the typicity we love in BdN Brut.
