2022 DuMOL Highland Divide Pinot Noir

Grapes were sourced from three high elevation densely planted vineyard blocks in the foothills on the Sonoma Coast in the Russian River Valley. The Sonoma Coast AVA is receiving many accolades these days for its cooler climate Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays. Some say the 2022 vintage was ideal for both, showing vibrant fruit and acidity with restrained tannins.

This DuMOL is emblematic of the brand’s style of winemaking by using specific estate lots to blend a final version of this flagship wine. It’s a pretty magenta color in the glass, and lightly aromatic—this young, fresh, red-fruited wine is slightly herbaceous, light bodied with medium acidity and light tannins. And it is ready for your next grilled salmon, or trout. It paired beautifully with a baked ratatouille of eggplant, peppers, tomatoes, zucchini, onion and garlic. Add crusty baguette and a good olive oil and call it a meal.

This is a very good wine that is drinking well now, or hold for 2-3 years. Get on their allocation mailing list to purchase. Click here to read the winemaker interview.
