2021 Stoller Reserve Pinot Noir

Ruby red, with a warm embrace of blue and dark fruit and damp forest floor on the nose, this Dundee Hills estate Pinot Noir is derived from the oldest vines on the property, established over 30 years ago. This is an outstanding example of the 2021 vintage, medium-bodied, dense, with nicely integrated tannins, and a very long finish. This pinot noir is drinking beautifully right now and will also benefit from aging. Drink or hold for three to seven years.

The 2021 Reserve was first tasted separately by myself and also in a group blind tasting. The group had several Pinot Noirs paired with a variety of dishes from the Pacific NW, including Salmon several ways, local cheeses, and mushroom dishes. This wine was one of the group favorites. Kudos to winemaker Evan Rose. Read his interview here.
