2021 Flanagan Cabernet Sauvignon

Warm and inviting at first nose, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon from Eric Flanagan offers luscious blue black fruit, baking spices, and a wee hint of oak on the palate. This is a Flanagan estate vineyard-designated wine from Dry Creek Valley in Sonoma.

The Cab is fresh-fruited, with mouth-watering acidity and fine-grained tannins. This is a smooth medium medium-bodied wine, easy to drink now, although time will benefit the juice; I’d say three to five years of aging would be ideal.

And, lest you think this Cab is one of Eric’s greatest accomplishments, read his Wine Character’s interview – specifically the bonus question – What’s the one thing that people would be surprised to learn about you?
